The following article outlines how to import new product catalog data into your Procurify account.
Important: This article is strictly for importing catalog items into Procurify for the first time. To update existing catalog items, refer to the article: how to update catalog items via imports.
Steps:
There are two ways to import a Product Catalog. Before importing the Product Catalog into Procurify, complete the following steps:
- Download the template from your account. Select Settings → Import Data → select Import CSV next to Product Catalog → and select Download Template.
- Review the table below for a definition of each column and an example. Fill out the required columns and save the file to your computer.
Note that there may be custom fields added to the template CSV file. Ensure to populate the column to prevent errors. If the custom field is required in the domain, it will need to be populated on the template.
- If a checkbox custom field is in use, the column must be populated with either true or false.
- If a date custom field is in use, the format must be "YYYY-MM-DD"
- If a text custom field is in use, the format must contain alphanumeric characters only
- If a drop-down custom field is in use, please type the exact drop-down option into your file. For example, if one of your options is "New York," you should ensure it is spelled the same.
- To upload an image (column I), add a URL of the image or the file name of the image in the zip file.
- If the URL is added to the description of the catalog item, it would then be carried over as a comment on the line item to the order request and the PO.
