Goal:
Updating catalog permissions using the import feature
This article refers to “Location” and “Department”. Your domain may have different labels due to custom organizational categories.
You must be a Superuser or have custom permissions to access the Import Settings to complete the following steps.
Important: The import only allows users to add new permissions to existing catalog items. It is not possible to remove permission settings in bulk.
Steps:
Navigate to Settings → Import Data
Locate the section for Catalog Permissions and click Download Template.
Copy the exported catalog items onto the template.
Add applicable Location/Department tags to the CSV file. Use keyword **ALL** (include asterisks) in the Department or Location columns to allow catalog access to all Departments and all Locations.
Ensure that there are no special characters in the CSV file such as ™ , µ , ®, ©, {, or }.
On the Import Data Settings page, click Import CSV File next to Catalog Permissions.
Upload the file from your computer and Import.
Success! You've updated catalog permissions.
