Goal:
Understand QuickBooks Desktop issues by converting the error log into a legible format
Steps:
1. Open the PC Registry Editor by searching regedit in the PC windows search bar
2. In the application, expand the HKEY_CURRENT_USER folder
3. Select the SOFTWARE folder
4. Select the Intuit folder
5. In the Intuit folder, open the QBWebConnector folder. On the right-hand of the screen select Level
6. Edit the field Value data: from DEBUG to VERBOSE. Select OK to save the changes
7. In the Web Connector, generate the error log for troubleshooting by selecting the File tab and selecting Clear Log
8. Run the integration application that is generating the error
9. Generate the error log from the application by selecting View Log
