How to use Google Drive

For users who have a business Gmail address, please use that email to login. Alternatively, you are welcome to use a personal Gmail address.

How to upload files & folders

On your computer, you can upload from drive.google.com or on your desktop. You can upload files into private or shared folders.

  1. On your computer, go to drive.google.com.

  2. At the top left, click New

    and then

    File Upload or Folder Upload.

  3. Choose the file or folder you want to upload.

How to drag files into Google Drive

  1. On your computer, go to drive.google.com.

  2. Open or create a folder.

  3. To upload files and folders, drag them into the Google Drive folder.

How to edit a file

  1. Locate the file on Google Drive and double-click the file to open.

  2. Click on the document and begin editing.

    • If you cannot edit the file, select the Open with button at the top of the screen and select Google Docs or Google Sheets.
