The following article outlines how to link Slack to Procurify to receive Procurify notifications within Slack. Notifications sent via Slack include Request for Orders/Travel/Expenses, Approvals for Order/Travel/Expenses, and Procurify Comments and Messages. Once you set up the Slack Integration, it will create a channel within your existing company Slack account. This setup will apply to all Slack and Procurify connected accounts, so only users with administrative positions in Slack and Procurify can enable this feature (or follow the steps listed in Step 1).
Step 1:
To complete the following steps, the user must have administrative permissions.
1. Go into Settings → Integrations
2. Locate the Slack integration and click Set Up
3. Click Add to Slack and continue in your Slack application.
Success! You've successfully linked Procurify to Slack.
Step 2:
To complete the following steps, the user must have administrative permissions.
Ensure all the users are linked by going to Settings → Integrations and selecting the View button on the Slack integration. Select Sync Unliked User to sync users in bulk or sync a specific user by locating them on the following page and clicking the drop-down Select an Option.
Step 3:
Once the steps above have been completed, individual users may need to enable the Procurify App in their Slack under the Apps section. Please click the link for detailed instructions: Install an App in Slack.
Step 4:
Once the app has been enabled, the individual user can control the type of messages received in Slack. To access notification settings visible below, on the Procurify web app select your name at the top-right-hand side of the screen, select Account, and select the Notification Settings tab.
Additional Information:
The user needs access to Settings → Integrations.
It is important to note that the Slack channel does not allow you to communicate or take action directly from the app; instead, it is a hyperlink that takes you to the Procurify platform.
If you have multiple domains, you can receive notifications for all your domains. All notifications appear in the same Slack account.
