How to find out my QuickBooks Desktop file path

Steps:

1. Open QuickBooks Desktop

2. Open the Company File you wish to connect to Procurify

3. Press F2 (or CTRL 1 on some systems) on your keyboard to open up the following window in QuickBooks Desktop

4. Copy the path shown in section File Information (highlighted in RED above)

5. Paste this into the modal in Procurify. Select Settings on the left-hand navigation bar โ†’ Integrations โ†’ SET UP.

6. Once complete, you will be redirected to the QuickBooks Desktop integrations General Settings page

Additional Information:

  • The file path entered must be a valid QuickBooks Desktop file, meaning it must end in extension .qbw

  • The validation for whether a file is .qbw, must be lower case. If your file ends in .QBW, just change it in the modal to lowercase and hit save

  • The file path CAN be a relative path. This is usually the case if the company file is stored on an internal server (typically set up by an IT administrator). The file path may look like \\MY REMOTE SERVER\my_file.qbw
