In this article, we refer to “Location” and “Department”. Your domain may have different labels due to custom organizational categories. Learn more here.
You must be a Superuser or have custom permissions to access Manage Locations settings to complete the following steps.
Steps:
Navigate to Settings → Manage Locations.
Select the applicable Location
Go to the Departments tab
Select + Add Department
Enter the name of the new Department
Select Save Department
Success! You've created a new Department.
Additional Information:
Ensure to assign Users, Approval Routing, and Account Codes to the new Department.
