Summary (TL;DR): A comprehensive guide to understanding, configuring, and connecting your Amazon Business account to Procurify using the PunchOut integration.
Prerequisites
You must have Superuser permissions in Procurify to configure the integration.
You must have an active Amazon Business account with Administrator privileges.
Part 1: What is Amazon PunchOut?
Amazon PunchOut is a direct integration that connects your Procurify domain to the Amazon Business storefront. Instead of manually copying items into an order request, users "punch out" to Amazon, build their cart, and securely transfer the cart data back to Procurify for financial approval.
Amazon Business vs. Amazon Business Prime
Amazon Business vs. Amazon Business Prime
You can use either account type for your PunchOut integration depending on your organization's needs.
Amazon Business: A free account that provides access to the B2B storefront, business-only pricing, and shared corporate payment methods.
Amazon Business Prime: A paid subscription service that adds expedited, free shipping benefits to your PunchOut orders. Both account types function identically within the Procurify integration workflow.
Can I Link Multiple Amazon Business Accounts?
Can I Link Multiple Amazon Business Accounts?
No, Procurify currently supports linking one Amazon Business account per Procurify domain. If your organization needs to manage different subsidiaries, distinct payment methods, or separate shipping addresses, you must configure different Groups within that single Amazon Business account. You can then map those Amazon groups to specific routing groups within Procurify.

On a new tab in your browser, open your Amazon Business Account.
Select Business Settings, scroll down to System Integration and select Purchasing System.
Type in Procurify in the text field to begin the connection.
Follow the on-screen prompts to securely log in to your Amazon Business Administrator account and authorize the data sharing.
In Amazon Business settings acquire the following details:
- Purchase order request URL
- From identity
- Shared secretPaste these credentials into Procurify
Assign your Procurify users to the newly created Amazon PunchOut groups within Procurify so they can access the Buy from Supplier button when creating an Order Request. By default this is set to All Requesters.
Part 4: How to Set Up Amazon PunchOut Groups
Setting up multiple groups allows you to assign different payment methods, locations, and permission settings to different users. If you have multiple locations in Procurify and each location requires a unique payment method, you must create a dedicated Amazon group for each Location.
Step 1: Create the Group in Amazon Business
Log in to your Amazon account as an Administrator.
Hover over your name in the top right corner and select Business Settings from the drop-down menu.
Scroll to the Members section and select Groups.
Click Add Group.
Enter a unique Group Name. As a best practice, name your groups to match your Locations within Procurify exactly.
Select the radio buttons for Shared payment methods and Shared addresses. The integration will fail if these are not set to shared.
Click Add Group and wait for Amazon to finish creating the record.
Step 2: Map the Group in Procurify
Ensure your payment method is already added to Procurify before completing this step.
Navigate to Settings > PunchOut Suppliers in Procurify.
Click Setup(or View) under the Amazon PunchOut supplier icon.
Click Add Group.
Enter the name for the PunchOut Group. We highly recommend using the exact same name you created in Amazon (e.g., the Location name).
Select the appropriate PunchOut domain from the drop-down menu.
Paste the From Identity, Shared Secret, and Purchase Order Request URL credentials you copied from Amazon earlier into the corresponding group fields.
Assign requesters to the group by clicking Edit. You can click Select All to invite all users, or use the search field to select specific individuals.
Click Save.
Select the specific Payment Method to be used for this group's Amazon PunchOut orders.
Important Note: Upon initial setup, the integration may be placed in Test Mode. You must toggle Test Mode off before going live, or your approved Purchase Orders will not physically dispatch to Amazon for fulfilment.
FAQ: Amazon PunchOut
FAQ: Amazon PunchOut
Summary (TL;DR): Answers to the most frequently asked questions regarding the Amazon PunchOut integration, including order management, sync behaviors, and mobile accessibility.
Purchasing and Order Management
Can I edit a pending Amazon PunchOut order request? No, pending Amazon order requests cannot be edited within Procurify. If changes are necessary, the original Requester must delete the draft (or the Approver must deny it), and a brand new order request must be submitted.
Can used items be ordered using Amazon PunchOut? No. Amazon explicitly restricts B2B PunchOut integrations from purchasing "Used" condition items. You may only purchase new items through the integration.
Can I use PunchOut on the mobile app? No. The Amazon PunchOut integration is currently only accessible via the Procurify web application. It is not supported on the mobile app.
How can I track Amazon orders? You can track Amazon PunchOut orders directly within Procurify. The system provides active delivery tracking links directly on the generated Purchase Order document once Amazon processes the shipment.
Who is designated the Purchaser on a PunchOut Purchase Order? The Approver of the Amazon PunchOut request is automatically designated as the Purchaser. Because PunchOut automates the purchasing step, the system instantly generates and dispatches the Purchase Order to Amazon the moment final approval is granted.
Syncing and Data Behaviors
Do Amazon shipping costs and taxes sync to Procurify? Estimated shipping costs and taxes sync from your Amazon cart to the Procurify Order Request. However, the final, exact amounts are confirmed later when your Accounts Payable team reconciles the official vendor Bill.
What happens when orders are canceled in Amazon? If Amazon cancels an order (e.g., due to inventory shortages or shipping restrictions), the integration automatically updates the status to "Order Cancelled" in Procurify. You must create a new Order Request to attempt purchasing the item again.
How does PunchOut handle refunds? Amazon processes returns and refunds directly within the Amazon Business portal. For financial tracking, your Accounts Payable team must manually record any issued refunds as a credit against the vendor Bill in Procurify.
How does custom PO sequencing work with PunchOut items? Amazon PunchOut orders automatically inherit your domain's active custom PO numbering sequence. The system applies the next available external Purchase Order number sequentially the moment the request is approved.
Can I add Amazon PunchOut items to the Procurify catalog? No, you cannot import or add Amazon items directly to the internal Procurify product catalog. Instead, you should use the "Shared Lists" feature directly within your Amazon Business account to save and quickly reference preferred items.
Accounts and Payments
Does Amazon PunchOut accept Pay by Invoice? Yes. Amazon PunchOut accepts both corporate credit cards and Amazon's Pay by Invoice method. You must configure these approved methods directly within your Amazon Business shared payment settings.
Can SSO options be used with Amazon PunchOut accounts? Yes. You can configure Single Sign-On (SSO) directly within your Amazon Business settings to manage user access securely alongside your Procurify SSO integration.
