Invoice Uploads and OCR

When submitting invoices for automated processing using Procurify's Optical Character Recognition (OCR) feature, the following file types are supported:

  • PDF: This is the preferred format for invoices. PDFs preserve the original invoice formatting and ensure the highest accuracy for data extraction by the OCR engine.

  • JPG, PNG, TIFF: These image formats are also supported. However, the quality of the image directly impacts the OCR's ability to extract information. High-resolution images are strongly recommended for optimal results.

General Attachments

Throughout the Procurify platform (e.g., within Requests, Bills, Purchase Orders, etc.), you can attach various file types to support your procurement processes:

  • Common Document Formats: PDF, DOCX, XLSX, PPTX

  • Image Formats: JPG, PNG, GIF

  • Text Files: TXT, CSV

  • Compressed Files: ZIP

Specific Use Cases

  • Importing Data: When importing bulk data into Procurify, such as vendor lists, item catalogs, or chart of accounts, use CSV (Comma Separated Values) files.

  • Exporting Reports: To export reports and data from Procurify, you can choose between CSV and XLSX (Excel) formats.

  • OCR Performance: For optimal OCR performance, ensure invoices are:

    • Clear and legible

    • High-resolution

    • In a standard format with a consistent layout
