How to create sub Account Codes via the Import

Goal:

  • Creating sub Chart of Account Codes for importing

The following articles outline how to properly create a CSV file for sub-Accounts Codes for importing into Procurify. This article is designed to supplement the article How to Import Account Codes.

Steps:

If you have Subcodes, you must create an entry for the parent account code first. For example, I want to enter the parent code 5000, and its sub Account Code 5100. You must enter the parent code as displayed below:

Then, enter the sub Account Code under the Account code 5000. The sub-Account Code must appear below the parent Account Code:

Here is an example of a parent Account and multiple sub Account Codes:

Tips!

  • Procurify only supports 2 tiered account codes. If you have more than two tiers, consolidate the structure into a two-tiered system.
  • It is recommended to limit Account Codes to 40 characters. You are able to have more than 40 characters, but due to the size of the field, the excess will be cut off.
