Question:
Why can't I close my Spending card fund?
Answer:
- The fund contains pending transactions: Pending transaction means that the transaction has not been settled yet and the money is on hold but did not leave the account. This means the final captured amount can change and affect the remaining amount on the fund and the budget.
- The fund is over-allocated: This means the transaction amount allocated to this fund adds up to more than the total of the fund. Basically, you’ve spent more than what you’ve been approved for. This can happen if there are multiple funds on your card or if a transaction was captured at higher than the originally authorized amount (i.e. restaurant tips, hotel bookings). You can re-allocate transactions to those funds or request for a top-up on the current fund.
