The Product Catalog section within Procurify allows you to assign a Department or Department Tags to a Catalog Item. Assigning a Department Tag restricts access to the item so that only Requests made for the assigned Department will have access to the item. A department tag can be updated and assigned manually at any time, or imported using the Catalog Permission import file.
To assign Department Tags manually to an existing catalog item, complete the following steps:
- Select PROCURE→ PRODUCT CATALOG on the left-hand navigation menu
- Locate the item you wish to update. Use the search field at the top of the screen
- Select the [...] button on the right-hand side of the screen
- Select Edit Item
- Select the button below Department Tags
- Select the Departments you'd like to assign to the item or check the box Select all
- Select Apply Departments
