Question:
- How are the account codes ordered?
- What is the logic for the order of the account codes list?
- Why are the account codes not displayed within alphabetical order?
Answer:
The account codes are currently ordered by their internal number. This is a unique identifier that is generated and assigned when you add new items to the Procurify system. This is crucial as it allows us to store and locate thousands of unique orders, account codes, and catalog items. Almost all items within Procurify have one of these internal identifying numbers.
When you import account codes into the system for the first time, each of these account codes will be assigned an internal number, starting in alphabetical order. This means that at first, your account codes will appear to be displayed in alphabetical order. However, any account code you add going forward will be added to the end of this list since their internal number will always be greater.
Additional Information:
- At this time, there is currently no way of adjusting the default ordering of the account codes; however, we are working on implementing further sorting options.
