Managing Roles and Permissions
Our overall goal with making the changes in the Settings page and a new way to manage users is to give you flexibility when giving users on your team access to different functions in Procurify while also making it easier to create and assign roles.
We've gotten a lot of feedback about creating and assigning roles and that the process is difficult and time consuming.
We've made three changes to the settings tab and how you manage roles, locations and users.
1) We are introducing a new Manage Roles and Permissions Page.
2) New changes to Manage Locations - Now with a summary of the roles in the location.
3) Managing Users has changed from location based to role based.
These changes will make it easier to create new roles and give more specific access to your team.
Here are four How-to articles from our knowledge base to guide you through the steps:
Since Roles and permissions have moved out of the Manage Users page, here in the Manage Roles and Permissions page you can now create the roles that will be available to apply to users.
Now that Roles have been created in the Manage Roles and Permissions page, here in the Manage Users page you can apply which roles and what locations you want your users to have access to.
Perhaps your user already has access to certain permissions for a certain location. Here in the Manage Users tab you will be adding additional locations for your user to have access to.
Perhaps you are starting a new location or project and have a specific set of people in mind for having access to the new location. Add which roles and users you want to have access for the location.
We want you to be able to match the structure of your organization in Procurify. This means configuring user roles to grant specific access for users and eventually this will mean different permissions for access into specific information as well.
